BREAST CARE
Mammography - Dr. Gex subscribes to the American Cancer Society and American College of OB/Gyn recommendations for annual mammography beginning at age 40 and a baseline mammogram between the ages of 35 and 40, for those women with family history of breast cancer.
Breast Exams - Clinical breast exams by the gynecologist and monthly self-breast examinations by the patient are advocated for every patient beginning in her reproductive years.
Management of Breast Problems - A comprehensive approach to the management of breast masses is used to ensure that all pre-malignant and malignant breast cancers are managed appropriately. Other breast problems include nipple discharges, cysts and breast pain/tenderness. Breast feeding complications will also be managed by our Childbirth Educator.
